23 April 2010 - Crowthorne-based Fibre Technologies has pledged to sponsor a ten-strong team from H2O Networks who will be undertaking Scotland’s gruelling Etape Caledonia cycle race. The 81-mile race is due to start on 16 May, and will take in the spectacular scenery that Perthshire has to offer, including lochs and mountains. Around 2,000 people will be competing in the race, with all sponsorship proceeds going to the Macmillan Cancer Support.
“We have worked with H2O Networks for a number of years, and wanted to show our support for its team in this race,” explains Ian Hunt, managing director, Fibre Technologies. “As well as having to get through a challenging course, the H2O team will also be raising money for a very important cause, and we are delighted to be able to help.
“Fibre Technologies always takes a highly professional approach to any task set. The team exhibits self confidence that is vital to the successful performance of its role and has inspired the respect and trust of others within the industry. FTL has displayed outstanding verbal and written communication skills, which together with its attention to detail makes the company a worthwhile member of any project.”
