MICROSENS modular and rack mounting solutions allow for full management diverse routing and dual power supplies.

All standard products are available in rack card form to give a cost effective solution for central managed site and star locations.
Modular Enterprise Chassis 3 HU with 14 Slots
The MICROSENS 19" patch panel houses a maximum of 12 mediaconverter insertion cards and one PSU. All insertion cards are supplied with power by a central power supply unit via a central backplane. A redundant power supply unit can be installed for special demands on reliability.

The converters are designed as Modules. Up to 12 Modules can be mounted into one chassis. Various Modules for the conversion of different interfaces are available. All Modules of the same product line can be combined with each other and can be exchanged during operation (Hot Swap).
4 Channel Optical Crossbar
The new module is part of the MICROSENS access platform and offers full 3R signal regeneration bundled with a free configurable crossbar matrix for data rates from 100 Mbps up to 2.7 Gbps. This module enhances the 3R function with the benefits of a flexible switchable crossbar logic. It allows free allocation of four channels – besides the protection of the optical link. In addition to the 1:1 links also 1:n connections for broadcast applications are possible.

Plenty of applications are possible: Twin Converter for point-to-point links with high port density, hardware-redundant configuration, channel protection and signal multiplication (Broadcast).
Gigabit Ethernet 3-port Converter 1000Base-T/X
The new access module allows for three-fold Gigabit Ethernet media conversion (3x 1000Base-T to 1000Base-X) and is based on modular SFP connections. This modular design makes the access module particularly flexible. Here MICROSENS offers a wide range of plug-in optical transceiver modules for multi-mode and single-mode applications.

The Gigabit connections are configured automatically with the auto negotiation protocol with transparent forwarding. An integrated linkthrough function guarantees additional link transparency for the whole connection. The components connected to the converter detect the whole.
Fast Ethernet Switch Module 4x10/100Base-TX, 1x100Base-FX
This Ethernet switch module is supplied with four 10/100TX ports and one 100Base-FX fiber optic port. An alarm contact is used for driving external alarm devices. The modules provide the same functionality like an industrial switch with the additional option of being deployed as a standard Ethernet switch in the MICROSENS 19´´access-chassis.

The increasing level of networking within industrial environments is not supposed to be a standalone solution. The integration of industrial networks into the central enterprise network is an important aspect for an effective corporate communication.
