Gigabit Ethernet Switch with Ring redundancy
The new 10 port Gigabit Switch is equipped with two 1000Base-SX/LX
Gigabit Ethernet fiber optic interfaces and therefore allows the
implementation of a fault tolerant optical ring. In case of failure the
MICROSENS patented technology assures the reconfiguration of the
connection within less than 20 ms.
The Industrial Switch is offering 8 copper ports for the connection of
Ethernet terminals like control systems, consoles or further network users.
The Gigabit Switch can be configured and monitored by the Device
Manager, a PC based management tool and, optionaly, SNMP. |

Fast Ethernet Industrial Switch with Ring function
If an Ethernet component or even a complete segment fails, it frequently
leads to machines stopping and therefore inevitably to production being
halted. It is precisely to prevent this that MICROSENS has developed a
mechanism for which a patent is pending that enables the Ethernet network
to be reconfigured within milliseconds if an error occurs. If a component or
link fails, all other nodes remain reachable via the intelligent ring topology
over the Ethernet (rapid redundancy).
The switches are configured as appropriate for this special operation. In

Gigabit Industrial Access Point WLAN 802.11b/g
MICROSENS is the first vendor offering a Wireless Access Point for industrial
environment with integrated switch. Due to this switch can be direct
integrated into the industrial Ethernet ring topologies.
With the support of the wireless transmission standard IEEE 802.11g it is
possible to reach a wireless bandwidth of 54 Mbps. The downward
compatibility guarantees the support of existing equipment with 11 Mbps
according IEEE 802.11b. Furthermore the Access Point has four twistedoair
ports (1x 10/100/1000Base-T, 3x 10/100Base-TX) and two Gigabit Ethernet
fiber ports (1000Base-X) for the Ring Topology integrated. If one device or
fiber segment fails, all other network nodes can be still accessed due to the
intelligent ring topology. |
