Fibre Technologies Limited was a prominent exhibitor at ECOC
2005, the 31st European Conference and Exhibition on Optical
Communication, Conference which took place from 25th - 29th
September 2005 at the Scottish Exhibition Conference Centre
(SECC) in Glasgow.
ECOC is a powerful forum, which unites academia and industry
in discussion and the display of the latest (and future) optical
comms components, products, systems, and services.
Each year international buyers and technicians visit ECOC
to discover technologies which match their specific requirements,
meet new suppliers, and network, and the Fibre Technologies
Stand attracted a significant number of visitors from the
Far East, Europe and the UK.
Philip Coombes, MD of Fibre Technologies, was delighted with
the response and said,"The 3 days saw a steadily increasing
call rate into the stand and by Wednesday we had attracted
large numbers of visitors with an even spread of interest
between the Kingfisher Test and Measurement systems, Pandatel's
DWDM optical multiplexers systems, and the exciting newly
launched PacketLight systems for Storage over SDH.
"Our offering to delegates was greatly enhanced by the presence
of on our stand of technicians from our partners who were
able to provide visitors with an in-depth presentation of
their systems and applications."
And, just to add a bit of fun to the proceedings, Fibre invited
visitors to engage in a daily draw for a bottle of fine wine
- lucky winners included Richard Walling from BT, and Stewart
Bradshaw, MD of Elwers.
