aggressive growth targets
14 December 2005: Fibre Technologies sales director
Ian Hunt, has acquired 24.9 per cent of Fibre Technologies
Ltd, the fibre optics communications specialist, via an MBO,
to grow the business significantly over the next four years.
Hunt will be tasked with achieving aggressive growth targets
including a growth in turnover from £3million to £6million
over the next three years.
Hunt
has worked at Fibre Technologies for over five years, starting
as a sales executive and working his way up to his current
position of sales director. He is responsible for a team of
six sales executives and plans to grow the team with the appointment
of a further three executives over the next year.
Before working at Fibre Technologies, Hunt held engineering
positions at Westell, Telspec and GEC Avionics, before moving
into the field of sales. During his time with Fibre Technologies,
Hunt has been responsible for founding partner relationships
and bringing new product lines into the business, which included
achieving a primary dealership contract with network technology
provider Pandatel.
In order to achieve the ambitious growth plans at Fibre Technologies,
Hunt will be putting measures in place to grow the new business
pipeline and increase the run rate business by building orders
month on month to level out the intake, making targets manageable
and achievable.
On his new role Hunt comments: "Fibre Technologies
is a very stable and secure company, which is why I had no
hesitation in buying into the business. I am looking forward
to taking the business to the next level and achieving our
turnover target of £6million over the next three years.
With the help of my team we will continue to provide our customers
with new and innovative products and a first class service."
