Founded in 1988 by Caltech scientists, MRV has had a long history of technology innovation.

We were early pioneers in the field of optical transport. MRV pioneered Ethernet networking, with many firsts including 100Base-TX uplink module, affordable 10/100 auto-sensing Ethernet switch, Gigabit Ethernet uplink module and Gigabit Ethernet switch.

At the same time, our components division was pioneering affordable, small form-factor Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing technology.

In-Reach Product Family
In-Reach is a complete Remote Presence solution that allows customers to proactively respond to all remote control, configuration and data acquisition needs. LX-1000S models connect serial devices to a TCP/IP network. Allow console port management, retail Point of Sale (PoS) connectivity, industrial automation, power management and Remote Access Server (RAS) functions. LX-4000S series allows network administrators and system operators to proactively respond to all remote control, configuration and data acquisition needs as if they are physically there.
Fibre Driver Product Line
MRV's Fibre Driver line of products provides a full range of solutions for media conversion, signal repeating, and fibre optimisation, including CWDM and DWDM systems. Both managed and unmanaged solutions are available, including rack-mount, modular systems and desktop systems. The Fibre Driver line includes several families of products with 100s of modules and system options for any type of optical or copper technology, covering virtually every protocol in use in networking today
OptiSwitch Product Line
The Opti-Switch family is designed to meet the needs of high-density fibre optic switching applications. With a variety of chassis styles and over sixty modules, the OptiSwitch family provides an exceptional level of versatility. It supports both high-end switching and IP routing functionality and is ideal for broadband data communication service.

TerreScope Family
The TereScope family of Free-Space Optics (FSO) products provides low-cost, high-speed wireless connectivity for a variety of last-mile applications. Operating at data rates of 1.5 Mbps to Gigabit speeds, TereScope systems are deployable in one day, without requiring right-of-way or government permits for installation, providing you with communication links in hours instead of weeks or months.
